Virtual SAP Services are provided in all 50 states.
SAP Services for every DOT regulated worker.
SAP services are available when you’re ready to take the next step.
A positive drug test. A refused screen. An alcohol violation. Whatever brought you here, you’re facing the same question every DOT-regulated worker asks:
Yes. But only if you complete a SAP evaluation – and do it right. Here’s what’s at stake:
Four easy steps to get you back to work
Fill out the intake form or call us directly. Most people start the same day.
Your SAP walks you through the assessment and tells you what’s recommended.
After you finish your education or treatment plan, your SAP does a follow-up evaluation.
To ensure compliance, the SAP issues a follow up plan that includes at least six tests.
No office visit. You do this from home, on your phone or computer. The DOT accepts it. Major carriers accept it. You just need a private space and decent wifi.
A lot of SAP providers won't until you call. We put ours on the website because you shouldn't have to guess. $450 covers everything: initial evaluation, follow-up, and Clearinghouse reporting.
FMCSA, FTA, FAA, FRA, PHMSA, USCG. Doesn't matter which agency covers your job or which state you're in. If you move or change employers mid-process, nothing breaks.
Monday through Sunday. Nobody plans for this. Start when you're ready.

Nathan at Reset Road is an amazing SAP provider. He walked me through the SAP with understanding and a will to help people. He helped with every step and got me back to work fast. I highly recommend working with him and would give him a 10-star review if it was possible.

Highly recommend Nathan, called him late evening and he was still able to squeeze me in his schedule same day. He was fast and professional the whole way through answering any questions I had. Thanks again for helping me get back on the road!

Nathan was on the job from the word go! He was very helpful and about his business. I didn't even call anyone else once I talked with him! He made a very negative situation bearable.

A SAP (Substance Abuse Professional) evaluation is a DOT-required assessment after a drug or alcohol violation. A qualified SAP evaluates your situation, recommends education or treatment, and determines when you’re cleared for a return-to-duty test. It’s mandatory before you can work in any DOT-regulated role again.
Reset Road charges $450. That covers your initial evaluation, follow-up evaluation, and FMCSA Clearinghouse reporting. Many providers charge separately for follow-ups or Clearinghouse updates, so compare carefully before you book.
Yes. The DOT has accepted telehealth SAP evaluations since 2020. Our virtual evaluations meet every DOT and FMCSA requirement. Major carriers accept them without issue.
The initial evaluation runs about 60 minutes. After that, the timeline depends on your recommended treatment or education plan — typically less than a week. Once you complete it, we schedule your follow-up promptly so you can move to the return-to-duty test.
Your employer already knows. DOT violations are reported to the FMCSA Clearinghouse, and employers are required to check it before hiring. The SAP process is how you resolve that record. Completing it shows carriers you’ve met every DOT requirement.
Yes. You have the legal right to choose your own DOT-qualified Substance Abuse Professional. Your employer may suggest one — the choice is yours. Many drivers choose Reset Road because the virtual format, transparent pricing, and 7-day availability make the process faster.
Your violation stays in “prohibited” status in the FMCSA Clearinghouse indefinitely. As of January 2026, FMCSA is downgrading CDLs for drivers with unresolved violations. The longer you wait, the harder it is to get back to work.
The evaluation takes less than a hour. The whole return-to-duty process typically runs less than a week. Every day you wait is a day you’re not working. Book online, meet your SAP over video, and start.

Nathan was straightforward with what I should expect going through the SAP course from the beginning all the way to the end. He was encouraging and motivating, and also willing to help with any questions and concerns. He made an uncomfortable situation into a comfortable one for me to be able to continue my success.
